Featured Jack Bunney Grooms - Real Weddings
I have often mentioned here on our blog or
on our Facebook page that our clientele travel from all over the world. Well here is proof! Tom and Heather live in Australia and the
wedding was in Yorkshire, U.K.
We are obviously in Essex, so I suppose we
were reasonably local (in comparison to Australia).
We first spoke to Tom on the telephone
(from Australia) in March, Tom explained to us, that he really loved what we do
but his wedding was somewhat of a logistical nightmare! With both the Bride and Groom living in Oz,
the rest of the family here in the U.K. and the wedding was up in Harrogate,
Yorkshire. If I am honest I thought
that it all sounded just too complicated to work! But Tom is a very nice chap and he was just
so very enthusiastic about our suits, he was determined to make it work and in
all fairness (with the help of his family and friends) he did just that.
So here is Tom and Heathers sumptuous
‘Hollywood Glamour’ Yorkshire Wedding:
Tom’s surprise proposal was a carefully
planned getaway to a Disney-esque castle in Adelaide, which nearly ended in
disaster when Tom locked the car keys in the car whilst packing. Heather was none too impressed on the way,
since Heather was dressed for dog walking, not impromptu castle visiting! In
Tom’s words: “I think she forgave me!”
A surprise proposal leads to a lot of
planning and hard work, but for Tom and Heather it was even more hard
work! “I was involved with about 20% of
the wedding planning, I enjoyed letting Heather plan her dream wedding. I can
see why grooms tend to take a backseat, As we live in Australia and our family
are all in the UK I was the main person Heather would run all the ideas by. She
did so well planning the whole thing from the other side of the world!”
Tom obviously enjoyed arranging the suits “I sorted the suit, so I was happy!”
Toms wedding Googling skills are at level
ninja, after his 10,000-mile long distance wedding planning, but why Jack
Bunneys?
“I took into
account the old venues we were using and the Hollywood Glamour (loose) theme
and wanted suits that fitted the look of the wedding. Along with most other
things I only had the Internet to help me so I looked all over and the suits at
Jack Bunneys were the clear winner. They were exactly what I was looking for so
the search was over.
It was a bit scary as I didn’t get to try my suit on
until 4 weeks before the wedding and 2 of my groomsmen didn’t see them until
the wedding day. On the morning of the wedding when we put the suits on, it all
came together nicely. “
The whole day just looks amazing! The
photography is beautiful, the church and the venue are all incredible! Tom had one word to describe the day. “Unforgettable!”
Actually there were quite a few words “The
wedding day was amazing. All the hard work Heather had put into it had paid
off. Everyone had an amazing day and to marry the girl of my dreams couldn’t
have felt any better.”
After such an amazing day, Tom is
officially a married man, so what words of wisdom does Tom impart to the next
Groom-to-be?
“Try to organize time during the day to take it all in
as it will pass by in a flash. Maybe have a bit of time-out with the bride or
the bridal party. Prepare your speech and know it as well as you can so you
don’t think about it too much on the day.
Lastly have no
regrets. “
Wise words from our Jack Bunney
‘Google-Ninja’ featured Groom, Tom ‘Jedward’ Phillips.
Tom and Heather would like to thank all of
their suppliers, which were all brilliant.
