Daniel & Nikki's Atmospheric Family Celebration

Featured Jack Bunney Grooms - Real Weddings

This is our first ever 'Featured Jack Bunney Grooms' post and to be honest it is all rather exciting!  Not only are we getting to blog about 'Real' weddings, we get to do it from a perspective that will hopefully be interesting for our customers and readers.

So here is Daniel & Nikki's Atmospheric Family Celebration:

Daniel and Nikki first met way back in '99 at their local.  The proposal however was not until 2007 on holiday in the U.S. and a sunset cruise around Key West.  Daniel's plan worked a little too well and Nikki nearly had an asthma attack from the shock.  That's how you sweep a woman off her feet!

After the proposal comes the planning, Daniel said "We enjoyed everything about the planning except finalizing the guest list for the day. It's really hard to exclude people you care about to make the numbers work"

Daniel being the modern man that he is, was quite involved in the planning "Yes, maybe a little too involved. I kept track of the budget and just pitched in with ideas when asked for my opinion. Its safest that way! "  Well modern-ish!

Then there are those REALLY important parts of the planning, you know the absolute essentials.  The Stag and the Suits.

How did the Stag go Daniel?  "Messy was an understatement!"  2 weeks in Benidorm culminating in one of the lads being helped from the plane by Paramedics when landing back in Luton.  Messy..indeed.

This is the Jack Bunney Blog, so we know where the suits came from! But here is what Daniel had to say about the suits:

"I remember seeing the Harrogate suit in the advert in a magazine which I loved but when I tried it on, it just wasn’t right for my shape. I eventually settled on a made to order Richmond in dark grey and loved everything about it! The experience of being in a real tailors with professionals is something you cant put a price on. From the advice to the quality of work is something I will recommend to all my friends before they marry. Also, not to forget the made to measure shirt…. WOW…..in the words of Ace Ventura, LIKE A GLOOOOVE!"

Did you enjoy the process of having a suit made and sorting out your five other Grooms party members?
"Yes, it was probably the only part of the whole process I had complete control of and really enjoyed putting together a look for me and the groomsmen that would complement the wedding style."

The wedding day itself was a family friendly, party/celebration with the emphasis on 'Atmosphere'.  Daniel had one word which described how he felt on that day and how he thought the day went overall:
"Perfect!"

Actually Daniel had a few more words too.  (If you are of an emotional disposition be prepared to grab a tissue now!)

"It was on a par with the two days when our children were born. I didn’t think it would feel any different to be married but it does. It felt like our family was really complete and more secure. A lovely feeling."

Did you cry then Daniel?

"No ... but I did get a bit choked"

Daniel hired the Rat Pack Boys  as singing waiters who blended in all day making hilarious mistakes and winding up guests! Until they broke into song at the end of the main course.  The whole room was on it's feet singing 'That's Amore' by the end!

Daniel had these words of wisdom (from a Groom who's now been there and done that):

"You only get married once (hopefully) so you need to do it the right way. Everything else in life you get a chance to practice at but a wedding you have to get right first time. Don’t worry about the money, its all worth it. It’s a day you’ll never forget. Make sure you look around for what you want and don’t compromise."

Daniel & Nikki would like to say a special thank you to:
